Of Rising Authors {Tag}

YES. THIS ONE CAME TO ME LEGALLY.

I know, two tags in one week, but I'm TOO EXCITED TO WAIT :D

The lovely Indigo at Spaceships, Vampires, and Very Secret Agents tagged me for the "Of Rising Authors" tag!

Let's go!

Rules:

#1: No tagging back
#2: Tag Four People
#3: Thank The Person Who Tagged You

Well, thank you so very much, Indigo! Like I said somewhere before, it made my day!

1. What is the reason you write?

That's a deep question....

The reason I write is -
(because she has no friends are her characters are her friends)

Um... that might be a reason...hehe....

In all seriousness, I write because I simply love to. I love how I can do anything I want, and the characters really do become my best friends!

2. When did you write your first story? How old were you and what was it about? (Prepare to cringe, mwahaha.)

*sneaks out the back door*

*is grabbed by the collar*

(OH NO YOU DON'T! I'M NOT LETTING YOU ESCAPE ON A CHANCE TO HUMILIATE YOURSELF)

Jeez, thank's Lina

(Welcome)

*rolls eyes*

I think it was my story called: The Princess and the Pauper

I KNOW

I KNOW

DON'T GIVE ME THAT LOOK.

I think the title's pretty self-explanatory. I'm not going into more detail.

Nuh-uh

That's all you're going to get.

3. Do you have one particular word that, no matter how hard you try, you can't learn the spelling of? (Mine is "mischievieous" by the way. "Dissappear" also gave me a fair amount of grief.)

I think it's "appointment" or "business". There's another word but I can't remember it right now.

I will at midnight though....

4. Do you sometimes feel that your characters take on a life of their own and start doing whatever they want? (Not… not that that happens to me… no… *sobs quietly*)

Yeeeesss.

Definitely.

It's like, you're writing, and all of a sudden they say something that they weren't supposed to say or do something they aren't supposed to do and you're like, "NO. I'M IN CHARGE HERE." But you can't bring yourself to stop them!

5. Would you date one of your characters? (SORRY NOT SORRY)

Actually, yes :P

I would either date Jack Harris or Carrington (I forgot his last name at this moment, I HAVEN'T WORKED ON THE BOOK HE'S IN IN A WHILE, OKAY??)

OH

OH

OH

OR LEON CASTILLO FROM RIFTS. I WOULD TOTALLY DATE HIM. MOSTLY BECAUSE I IMAGINE HOM TO LOOK LIKE THIS:

I KNOW

6. Imagine you could pick four fictional characters to invite to a dinner party, who would they be and why would you invite them? (They don’t have to be book characters, they can be TV show or movie characters too.)

Only four?

(*chokes*)

I would invite Isi and Geric from the Books of Bayern, and Ella and Char from Ella Enchanted.

As to why, well, I really like Isi and Ella for their courage, and DO YOU REALLY EXPECT ME TO GET OUT OF A CHANCE TO SEE THEM TOGETHER WITH THEIR MALE COUNTERPARTS?? (not to mention meet them myself...)

7. If you could only read books of ONE genre for the rest of your life, what genre would that be?

Um, it would be fantasy. Because my favorite books (The Books of Bayern, LotR, Ella Enchanted, etc.) are considered (at least by myself) to be in that genre.

8. What would happen if you switched places with your MC? Or if your MC switched places with you, and had to live in your world? Explain.

O_O

It would be mass destruction.

Since I have so many stories, I'm just going to pick Awyeria from The Crown of Light to trade places with.

If Awyeria changed places with me, she would probably be over the top about everything. I mean, she's been training her whole life to save her country from evil people, she would destroy your iPhone before you could say, "Child of light."

If I was in her place, there would just be epic failure. She's probably the toughest character I have with the most responsibilities. I wouldn't do well in her place.....

9. Do you sometimes come up with perfect characters, a perfect fictional world, and a perfect subplot, but you have no actual story to put them in? (I can’t be the only one….)

Yes.

And I really hate it.

A lot.

10. Are you sick of answering questions by now? (Come on, be honest.)

Actually, no! I had a lot of fun answering these! Thank you again, Indigo!!

Now, my ten questions for those who are to be tagged are:

1: What is your "go-to" song for writing?

2: Have you ever struggled with creating a character too similar to one of your favorite characters? (Definitely never happened with Geric or Char....defenitly...*sniff*)

3: What is the weirdest thing someone has said to you about your writing?

4: What is one of your MC's flaws? (I gave one of mine a fear of spiders. Scratch that, two of mine have it :P)

5:  What is your least favorite genre to write in?

6: What was the worst thing you ever wrote?

7: Do you like writing non-fiction?

8: What was the most awkward scene you've ever written? (mine was a proposal scene...let's not go into that...)

9: On a scale from one to ten (I am perfect like I am!) (IGNORE THAT. A SONG GOT STUCK IN MY HEAD) how often do you end up writing more than 3 chapters of the stories you start?

10: How many people do you let read your stories?

And I tag...

Joy at The Pen Or The Sword?

Mary Katherine at Sarcastic Scribblings

Jem at Jem Jones, Writer

and

MovieCritic at Movies Meet Their Match

I hope y'all have fun with it :D

And if anyone else wants to steal this, then you have my permission.

  1. Haha, great answers XD it's good to know I'm not the only one who sometimes loses control of her characters :p
Was The Princess and The Pauper story based on the Barbie movie? Because I practically grew up with that film :D

    1. Lol, nope, characters go out of control here a lot....unfortunately....
It actually wasn't based off of it. It was more like set in the modern world :P

    1. Lol, yes. It ALWAYS happens. It's especially annoying when you think of something really interesting to say to a friend whom you NEVER see, but forget it. Then remember it late at night at you're just like, "SERIOUSLY?? NOW?? WHEN I WON'T SEE HER FOR ANOTHER MONTH. THANKS." :P
