/ / April Wrap-Up \ \

Well......I'm still alive so that's something.

Classes are ending soon but guess who has a bunch of school left?

Besides that, life has been going alright. I went to prom at the beginning of the month and that was fun! But then I was out with the flu for the next week. I also found out that I'm going to Delaware with my dad to visit a college and that I got accepted to a camp that I really wanted to go to.

And freaking swim team. Not kidding y'all, I get the weirdest tan line *fp*

A Noble Masquerade, Kristi Ann Hunter; The Edge of Over There, Shawn Smucker; The Scorpio Races, Maggie Stiefvater; North and South, Elizabeth Gaskell; The American Heiress, Daisy Goodwin

Loved

A Noble Masquerade: Y'all know that this is one of my favorite books of all time. It's funny. Has spies. Has romance. And is historical fiction. Oh and banter. I love it so much xD

The Scorpio Races: Another of my favorite books. You forget how good it is every time you read it.

North and South: I had been wanting to read this one for a while (because I loooove the BBC adaption with Richard Armitage) and I really, really liked it. There were some characters who bugged me but honestly, it's amazing.

Liked

The Edge of Over There: This book was just.....eh. I didn't dislike it, but I didn't love it. Read my review here!

The American Heiress: So I liked it A LOT. But there were some content things that kept me from putting this in the loved category. Lots of Downton Abbey feels, but I really wouldn't recommend because of the content.

Miserere // Gregorio Allegri

Love Like This // Lauren Daigle

I'll Keep On // NF

Y'all. If you didn't see this. You missed out on A LOT. This was.....this was amazing. (random fact right here but my mom and I are going to Abby Johnson's Pro-Woman conference at the end of June!!)

I did Camp Nano....and did not complete it because *cough* school.

Ha.

I discovered this brand new story idea that has me really psyched (maybe I'll share more about it later). And I finished What Time We Had Left! I sent out a call for betas, but the sign-ups are now closed.

This Month's Posts:

How was your April? Doing anything exciting this month? What have you been reading? Writing? Watching? Listening to?

/ / March Wrap-Up \ \

Life has been........Life.

This was such a crazy month, I was sick for the first week, and we thought it was mono but THANKFULLY it was not. Someone broke my violin bow but we were able to repair it.

I officially visited my first college! It was amazing and a really good thing that I did, because I was not going to apply there even though it is about 45 minutes away from I live, but now it is my second choice college! I went to the official "Junior Visit Day" and they gave us t-shirts which are soooo comfy. But I'm planning on visiting another college soon, and another one soon after that as well as (hopefully) two up north in the beginning of the summer.

Prom is next weekend and I am readyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy. I got my dress and shoes and a friend's aunt is coming to do our hair and make-up and ahhhhhhhhhh

I think that's all that was really of interest this month.......

THANKFULLY MORE BOOKS XD

'Tis, Frank McCourt; Far Side of the Sea, Kate Breslin; Teacher Man, Frank McCourt; The Old Curiosity Shop, Charles Dickens; Princess Ben, Catherine Gilbert Murdock; Richard the Third, Paul Murray Kendall; The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, Mary Ann Shaffer

Loved

The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society: This book was so. good. I just really loved it soooooooo much!

Far Side of the Sea: Banter, spies, historical fiction, honestly my perfect book xD Read my review here!

Liked

'Tis: It was interesting to keep reading about Frank McCourt's life, I enjoyed Angela's Ashes and it took me a while to find a copy of this book (library sales are amazing)

Teacher Man: I really liked reading about McCourt's teaching days. His writing style always keeps you hooked.

The Old Curiosity Shop: I have been reading this book off and on since I turned 13. THAT'S THREE YEARS. It's not that I don't like Dickens (I managed to get through Hard Times pretty quickly) but there was just no real connection with me and this book. I still liked it though.

Richard the Third: This was for school, why else would I read this over-five-hundred-pages biography of one of the most falsely-characterized men in history? Really changed my opinion on him though.

Disliked

Princess Ben: The only thing that kept me from hating this book was the last fourth. Honestly, I understand making your characters "human" but Ben was just hateable.

Without Me / Cry Me A River // Cimorelli

A Hero Comes Home // Idina Menzel

Mansion // NF

Rainbow // Savannah Outen

The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society

Reading the book made me itch to watch the movie again. *sigh* still as lovely as I remember it

I am ALMOST done my novella, and I'm trying to get it done before Camp Nano. ONLY THREE MORE CHAPTERS TO GOOOOO

I am so excited xDD

I will probably start looking for beta readers at the end of next month, since a lot of people do Camp Nano and yeah xD

Finally got back into blogging again! It is nice to be back after a break!

This Month's Posts:

How was your March? What are you looking forward to in April? Would you guys be terribly put out if I possibily did a post on Richard the Third?

Not An Official Wrap-Up (ish)

And I say that because it's not gonna follow my usual format (ish). I was originally gonna just tell y'all what I had been writing, but then I remembered I didn't want to release TOO much info about it till I finished the first draft and maybe asked for Beta readers. I will tell you that I am almost half-way through so KEEP YOUR EYES PEELED

Anyways, I'll just go: Life, Reading, Listening, and Watching

and yes i'll be using my header thingamabobs

Life has been.....

meh......

Yea, it's been meh. Nothing exciting has happened since my trip except that I've been sick for a FULL STINKING WEEK AND AM STILL SICK

Oh fuuuun

Last year, my goal was to read 50 books I had never read before and this year my goal is to read 100 books, doesn't matter if they're re-reads or new reads.

I've only read seven measly books this year. I'm kinda doubting if I'll make my goal -_-

Ross Poldark, Winston Graham; Demelza, Winston Graham; Jeremy Poldark, Winston Graham; Listening For Lions, Gloria Whelan; The Sky Above Us, Sarah Sundin; Between Two Shores, Jocelyn Green; A Tender Hope, Amanda Cabot

Just discovered NF, and man, I've never listened to rap before because I personally think it's trash but NF is an exception. His music is kinda dark at some points so if you think that'll affect you negatively proceed with caution. But it isn't explicit and really real.

Basically, the whole Go: Vive A Tu Manera soundtrack. DONT JUUUUUUDGE MEEEEE

And lots of other random songsss
