You Know You're Best Friends When. . . {Part Two}

 

Remember when I posted the first part and was like

Anywayssss, here I am, and here is part two

Again, this goes out to Seena and Kiki <33

You know you're best friends when. . .

You count down the hours until you go visit them

You burst out into screams and hugs when you see them

You try to take a "normal selfie" but end up with something, oof

You stay up past midnight with them to make sure they don't kill themselves doing the dishes (or aren't murdered by something else)

You know you're best friends when. . .

You plot to stir up some friends but it backfires on you

You drag them onto the dancefloor

You are milkshakes

You get onto the same group chat video call on different devices even though you are like, five feet away from each other

You know you're best friends when. . .

You randomly text each other to complain about violin (Bruch and tenths specifically)

You're trying to direct them to your location and using the word "portapotty" waaay too much

You paint each other's nails the whole time wondering why you decided to that

You both low-key stalk another friend

You know you're best friends when. . .

You see a movie together and fangirl and freak out the whole time

You accidentally break them by making faces

You keep up the pretense that their fictional boyfriend is real

You compliment each other while shooting down compliments about yourself

You know you're best friends when. . .

You work your bottom off so you can go to a camp with them in the summer

You are going to see them this summer if you have to walk to their house

You bawl in front of your gate after leaving them

You cry in front of the whole hotel while hugging them to say goodbye

A Short Meditation To Begin Lent

As many of you know, today is the first day of Lent. Ash Wednesday. If you're Catholic, at some point today, you'll be going to mass and get your ashes.

Regardless of denomination, I would like to share something with you all.

I go to a Christian ballet school, and for her older dancers, my dance teacher does a Bible Study. This year, the theme is "Knowing God" and John 17:3 is our theme verse. We've been doing it for a number of weeks and this week we're reviewing everything we've done so far.

Now, I would like to share with you some of my thoughts concerning our theme verse, and I would like to hear your thoughts below in the comments!

What It Means To Me Now:

God is bigger than I had ever known. His vastness is so huge, and yet, He wants to know me personally. Or actually, He wants me to know Him personally.

To know, love, and serve God - that is our purpose in this world. One leads to the other. If we know Him, we'll love Him; once we love Him, we'll serve Him; and through serving Him, we'll gain eternal life.

We cannot love an unknown master. And, consequentially, we cannot serve to the fullest a master we do not love. The better we know him, the better we love him, the better we serve him.

God does not want to be the man behind the curtain. He wants to be part of our everyday life. He wants us to know Him so we can love (and serve) Him better.

He knows each one of us by name, every hair on our head, every cell in our body, every like, dislike, and peeve. And He wants us to know Him. 

Not An Official Wrap-Up (ish)

And I say that because it's not gonna follow my usual format (ish). I was originally gonna just tell y'all what I had been writing, but then I remembered I didn't want to release TOO much info about it till I finished the first draft and maybe asked for Beta readers. I will tell you that I am almost half-way through so KEEP YOUR EYES PEELED

Life has been.....

meh......

Yea, it's been meh. Nothing exciting has happened since my trip except that I've been sick for a FULL STINKING WEEK AND AM STILL SICK

Oh fuuuun

Last year, my goal was to read 50 books I had never read before and this year my goal is to read 100 books, doesn't matter if they're re-reads or new reads.

I've only read seven measly books this year. I'm kinda doubting if I'll make my goal -_-

Just discovered NF, and man, I've never listened to rap before because I personally think it's trash but NF is an exception. His music is kinda dark at some points so if you think that'll affect you negatively proceed with caution. But it isn't explicit and really real.

Wednesday {January 16th}

I flew out from a local airport at around 7:30 to Charlotte. There my gate was on the OTHER SIDE of the airport from the gate where I landed -_- so just picture me walking across that airport with Starbucks and Burger King in hand. From Charlotte, I flew to Harrisburg where my best friend picked me up and we went to her house.

Thursday {January 17th}

We drove to DC! When we got to the hotel (which was named "The MODG Hotel" by us crazy modgers), we freaked out every time we saw someone we know. Guys, this part was AMAZING. I'd only met two of my amazing modg friends, but here I met SOOOOOO many more and let's just say that there was a lot of hugging and screaming. Then we went and got ready for the MODG Prom! The dance was also AMAZING! It's hard to explain how great it was! The table I sat at was the "RAAC" table and I was told that we were the loudest table.......We were laughing a lot xD. After the dance, we went back to the hotel and the after party commenced.

Friday {January 18th}

After breakfast, we talked with peoples for a while before heading over to where the rally was. Oh my goodness, the rally itself was an amazing experience! If you didn't see it, I would really recommend that you go and watch it! We were standing with the MODG group, and we had hats that had our school colors and we also had a banner. After the rally, we stood in the street for about an hour while waiting for the March to start. While that could have been totally boring it was not because I was with my amazing friends (it's hard to describe them with any word that is not amazing). When the March started, we were in a "train" and that was so so so great xD. Marching in the March was an experience that I will never forget. To see so many people marching for those who cannot march was amazing! It was so peaceful and the people were great! Unfortunately, we did march at one point next to these "pro-lifers" who were awful! They were pro-life, but they were not peaceful. They were extremely anti-Catholic and kept telling us that we were going to hell. Their signs said that the abortion doctors were also going to hell (which they might if they don't repent). But it was interesting because marching right behind us was a seminary and their banner was about God's mercy, and you could really see the difference between us peaceful marchers and those other ones. But yes, I did do the whole March and after that, we went back to the hotel and hung out till 1 in the morning :P We were low-key stalking each other as we had a "photo battle" which was basically get the randomest pictures of people xD

Saturday {January 19th}

We went back to my friend's house on this day. I cried so much saying goodbye to various people. I've never cried so much in public and I'M TEARING UP JUST THINKING ABOUT IT GAH

The rest of the days were spent at my lovely friend's house and those days were so much fun! We chatted so much with our peoples that we had left and it was amazing! I went back home on Tuesday the 22nd, and cried in front of my whole gate #noshame

Anyways, that was my March 4 Life experience. I will hopefully be more active and organized from now on, but no promises xD (and just know that I started out with 200 pictures on my camera roll when I went to DC and came home with over 600......sh.......)

So yeah

I do know that I kindasortamaybedid disappear off the face of the earth after November.

Gonna be honest with y'all, November was a really rough month for me. With Nano and my violin competitions and SCHOOL (oh the joyyyy) I was really in over my head. Then December came and I just felt no urge to blog. I was still extremely busy with school and I had to set my priorities straight. So yeah.

I will be posting more regularly (hopefully a triple book review will be posted Sunday). And I will get to responding to comments and reading all of your FABULOUS posts.

Anyways, October was TONS of fun!!

I took the PSAT and ACT within 3 days of each other :))

No, I am not dead (yet)

(literally guys my dance teacher asked me if I had gone crazy when I told her)

On more "fun" subjects, I went to Homecoming and that was SOOOOO much fun! I accomplished my mission and got my brother dancing by the end xD

I have a HUGE violin competition this Friday and my dad and I have been working together a lot.

And my wrist has been doing worse so that's not good.

An Inconvenient Beauty: The 4th and final (*sniff*) book in the Hawthorns House Series. So I love the first book of this series....and this one is my second favorite xDD I laughed so much and plus - SAVFKASHDJDFUG MIRANDA IS HAVING A BABY??? AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH WHY CAN'T WE HAVE ANOTHER BOOK WHERE WE SEE MIRANDA AND RYLAN AS PARENTS????? -  yeah I love this book xD

A Lady of Esteem: The novella prequel to the Hawthorne House Series. Hehe.....I laughed a lot during this one too and yeah xD

Mark of the Raven: OH MY JALAPENO GOODNESS. I WAS SHOOKETH BY THIS BOOK AND NEED THE NEXT ONE NOW WHY IS APRIL 30TH SO FAR AWAY?? (more coherent review coming soon xD)
