Tolkien Blog Party 2019

I really love this blog party! It's so much fun and just plain ol' cool. For more posts, giveaways, and games, make sure to check out The Edge of the Precipice!

Would you rather. . .

1.  ...join Thorin's Company or the Fellowship?

The Fellowship for sure! I mean, you have Pippin (who is basically my spirit animal) and Aragorn and the rest of the amazing Hobbits/men/elf/dwarf. There's a lot more variety and I feel like there would be less chance of being left out of all the zany antics.

2.  ...ride Shadowfax or an eagle?

Gonna be 100% honest, I have no idea (or can't remember) what a Shadowfax is. Someone please halp me. But in any case, I would much rather ride an eagle. And not only because the Philly Eagles are my favorite team.

3.  ...travel through Moria or Mirkwood?

Ugh......

Creepy forest or creepy city in a mountain?

Imma say Moria because Mirkwood has giant spiders and ahahaha #no

4.  ...learn to make elvish rope or mithril chainmail?

I feel like mithril is really useful (not to say that elvish rope isn't or anything like that). But just imagine walking around in mithril, ain't nobody gonna shoot you down

5.  ...try to outwit Smaug or Saruman?

Saruman. Because at least if I fail, he might let me be his servant and not turn me into a crispy Ceci

6.  ...spend an hour with Grima Wormtongue or Denethor?

Ooof. I really don't like those two guys. But I'm going to go with Denethor because there is no way in hecc that I'm not going to laugh some time during that hour having to say "Grima Wormtongue"

7.  ...attend Faramir's wedding or Samwise's wedding?

Samwise's! Because, Hobbits! Like, I really do think that Sam's wedding would be a lot more fun and laid back because Hobbits (I think) like to party and eat more.

8.  ...have to care for the One Ring or the Arkenstone for a day?

Arkenstone fo sure! At least I know that I won't accidentally cause the downfall of the entire world if I'm in possession of the Arkenstone for a day. And I won't become brainwashed by the Ring if it isn't mine for that day

9.  ...have tea with Bilbo or Frodo?

Hmm......That's a good one. I think I would rather have tea with Frodo because he seems.....a bit more sane and not as OCD as Bilbo is/was.

10.  ...fight alongside Boromir or Eomer?

Eomer. I may or may not have a tiny crush on Eomer, so I would really love to fight alongside him lol.

Tolkien Blog Party 2018!!

It's here! The moment that all Tolkien blog lovers have been waiting for!

Hamlette's Tolkien Blog Party!!

I did this last year and it was so much fun!! (click here for my answers last year).

Anyways, Imma doing it again so let's go go go

(and I sound like a baby tv show there -_-)

1.  What's your favorite Middle-earth story/book?

I think my favorite has to be The Return of the King. But it's SUPER hard to choose as all of them are EPIC.

2.  Do you have a favorite subplot?

I think Arwen and Aragorn's (even though it's such a tiny subplot in the book) romance or Gimili and Legolas's bromance. Or maybe just Aragorn's story in general cause I <3 Aragorn ;P

3.  What's your favorite theme in Tolkien's books?  (Can be in one specific story, or overall.)

Hope. I love how even when things look so bleak and it looks like Sauron and evil will win after all, there is still hope. Because, let's face it, why would we read/write something that doesn't give hope?

4.  Do you have a favorite weapon from Middle-earth?

*coughs*

I'm not that well versed in the weapons aspect of Middle-earth so I guess Sting???

5.  Would you like to be a hobbit?

I think so. I wouldn't mind living in a cozy Hobbit-Hole and eating good food.

6.  Do you have a favorite romance/couple?

Arwen and Aragorn.

7.  What's your favorite Middle-earth creature?  (Can be "real" or "imaginary.")

Hm....I think Hobbits. Or Elves. Probably Hobbits.

8.  What character do you look the most like?

None of them. I would flatter myself and say Arwen but no, I do not look like any of the characters from The Lord of the Rings.

9.  Are there any books about Middle-earth or Professor Tolkien (but not written by him) you recommend?

*cough*

So I haven't read any other works by Tolkien besides The Lord of The Rings or the Hobbit, but I did read this movie guide to The Return of the King (can't remember the name or author) so I guess that one????

10.  List up to ten of your favorite lines/quotations from the Middle-earth books and/or movies.

Well there are my answers for this year! Are you participating in the blog part? What are some of your favorite aspects of The Lord of the Rings?

I SHALL RULE THE WORLD

Well, Lina here. Since I've been SHOVED IN A CORNER SO LONG, I decided to rebel and write a post all by myself.

Naturally, that crazy woman wouldn't let me, but I'm doing it anyway. And it has been put off for quite some time *glares* BUT IT IS FINALLY HERE

Since I consider myself the "evil" (that child does not have an evil atom in her body tho, so not really evil) side of that person, I'm not doing one of her crazy, unorganized posts, but a post on my top 11 villains.

*cackles*

They will help me rule the world!!!

I had nothing to do with that. .

But I would like to point out to Lina that some of these "villains" are (or will be) redeemed
