~January Wrap-Up~

It's the end of January??

WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?????

But yeah, I thought it would be fun to do wrap up posts at the end of each month so, let's dive in.

Not literally...

LIFE

SCHOOL-WISE

Life has been crazy this month. We got back from Mexico on the 9th and it was a dive in straight back to school after that. Ugh, turning stuff in to get my 1st-semester grade, my mom giving me the, "YOU HAVE A 4.0 GPA ALREADY, DON'T MESS IT UP," look all the time, yeeep fun times.

But, on the bright side, the 1st-semester grades I have gotten (History and Biology) have been A's, so I just need to get on Religion, Latin, and Geometry.

VIOLIN-WISE

Violin has also been pretty good! Today is our first orchestra rehearsal of the semester and I'm principal second violin!! I love orchestra soooo much!

I'm also preparing for a competition so a lot of memorizing going on.

AT LEAST IT ISN'T BACH

BACH IS THE WORST TO MEMORIZE

DANCE-WISE

IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII GOT ON POINTEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

I'm going this Saturday to get my pointe shoes fitted so I'm psyched about that! We also found out what recital is going to be! And, the funny thing is, that it's the same one that we did the first year I did with this teacher! Since I'm on pointe, I'll have a pointe dance which I'm soooo excited for! Another of our dances is a mazurka, and that is also tooons of fun!

WRITING

Okay

I had waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too many stories that I was working on, so I narrowed it down to three with maybe a chapter here or there on another story

ON PAPER

The Girl Who Learned to Love

So I randomly choose them and wasn't as excited that I got this one. It was a new idea an one that I wasn't so invested in, but, that has changed. I LOVE THIS STORY SOOO MUCH. Maybe I'll do a post on it, but yeah, I've been enjoying this more and more as I find out more about the characters.

ON THE COMPUTER

The Moon

Again, wasn't too excited to have picked this one, but I think I'll enjoy it as I work more on it. I had already started this one, but instead of picking it up where I had left off, I'm just plain ol' redoing it. The plot is still the same with a tweak here or there, but I'm still plotting it. But, I have gotten more excited as I've been plotting it more

EDITING

A Tale of Two Friends: Ariella's Perspective

Aaah, the first book I ever finished

THE BEGINNING IS HORRIBLE

It's going to need some serious editing, but I forgot how much I loved those characters.

READING

I'm doing the Goodreads Reading Challange, and my goal is to read 50 books I have never read before. That means re-reads don't count. The books I read were (in order of reading them).....

But yeah, apparently I'm ahead of schedule having read 7 books this month. AND THEY WERE ALL AWESOME

  3. Congrats on principle second violins! That is a huge honor! I loved youth symphony when I was in it! Though my back didn't always appreciate sitting ramrod straight for hours on end.

HOW? How are you able to read that much in a month?! I applaud myself for my 1 1/2 books this month, then I go and read other's monthly recaps and see that they're reading way more than that. HOW?!

    1. Thank you! Yes! Sitting like that for so long does make my back hurt a lot, especially since I discovered that I had a curve in my back. What was not fun is when I went to orchestra camp, and right before that I had twisted my shoulder in swim.....But I still love playing in orchestra to death!

Haha, I'm a really fast reader and we go to the library every week so maybe that helps? I really don't know xD

  7. Having belly-flopped like that....yeah that is painful. Would NOT recommend doing that. Just don't.

Ahhhhh, the pressure of keeping up good grades....

Congrats on your violin and dance accomplishments!!!

I feel you on the too many stories - plot bunnies have no control, I swear.

Goodreads says I'm also ahead...which frankly, I prefer it that way :).

Can't wait for your Spotify post and your new blog look!!

    1. Yeah...the worst is when you actually try to dive and it turns out to be a belly-flop....

Yeeeeees. Good grades, you love them cause they're, well, good grades. But at the same time you're like, "THAT A WAS AN ACCIDENT! NOW I'M SUPPOSED TO MAKE ALL A'S?????????"

      Thanks Catherine!!

I know! You're like, "I WILL NOT WRITE ANY MORE STORIES" and then come up with a brilliant plot.

It's always good to be ahead, especially when it comes to reading :D

Ah! I finished my new header yesterday and I think it might be my favorite one XD

  8. Oh, that first gif. That must hurt a lot! I did that once when I was small (accidently, duh) and my whole belly was red. Happily, it was a starters block where I jumped off, so it was not that bad as the guy on the gif.
You do violin and you dance?! Wow! There has been said that violin is very hard. (that gif of the tiny violin :D)

Working on too many stories...*sigh* I have that myself too. And I know the thing with the story you didn't expect much of, but it turned out you love it and its characters, so well. I have a story of 86 pages that was like that, but I really love the characters now. Except now I'm editing(the worst ever! I edited so much already).
Heehay, you have posts in progress! Yes! Must say that I myself don't have any posts waiting to be published yet. Ooh, I'm looking forward to seeing you new blog look!

    1. Ouch! Belly-flopping is never fun! I do! The violin is very hard, but with time and practice, it gets easier. That gif is a piece of gold xD I had to decide between that one and a serious one, and was like, "THE FUNNY C'MON."

Editing is fun and not fun. Because you see how horrible (at least in my experience) some of the things you wrote are....Yeah, I try to have some prepared posts just in case ;D
