Short Stories #2: Trek to Stardom

First off, I want to wish all the mothers out there a wonderful mothers day. As to the story, this one's kinda silly.....but here goes nothing!

Prompt #2: Trek to Stardom

Perhaps it was only a dream, she thought. Perhaps of she pinched herself, she would wake up. But she didn't want to wake up. She wanted to stay in this dream world where (here is where the prompt ends) there were no screaming roosters at odd hours.
But if this was a dream, Lacey wanted it to be over with so she wouldn't be disappointed when she went back to reality. Lacey closed her eyes and pinched herself -- hard.
She opened her eyes and she was still standing in front of the recording studio, where she would be recording her first song.
She still couldn't believe she won the contest that allowed her to record her first song. And if the public liked it, she would most likely become very famous.
Lacey took a deep breath, picked up her guitar, and walked into the studio. In the hallway, she almost collided with Vanessa Madison.
"Hey," she said, "You're Lacey Jacobs? I heard you're song. I actually came to hear you. I know how hard the first time is."
Lacey just nodded her head. Vanessa Madison was her favorite celebrity.
"Th-Thanks," Lacey replied, "And, you are my favorite celebrity. You're so beautiful and-and awesome."
"Aw," Vanessa said, "That's so sweet. Do you want to grab some lunch afterwards? I have a feeling that if everything goes well with your recording, we're going to be seeing a lot more of each other."
     Lacey nodded again.
When she entered the recording room, nervousness began building up inside her.
She looked at Vanessa's encouraging face and it all left her. It's nice having friends when you are all by yourelf.
 The End

Eek, Thoughts? Criticisms? Applause (just kidding XD)? Just let me knoow below! Thanks!
