~ August Wrap Up~

Ahhh....I had a great last month of summer #stillindenial

I started 11th grade

wut

I'm a junior

#wutjusthappened

Yeah. As I'm writing this I've finished my second day and am just waiting for my Intro to Philosophy class to start. I really love MoDG. I mean, the people are awesome, the curriculum is awesome, the teacher is awesome. If you are a Catholic homeschooler, I would really look into it!

Let's see, what else? Dance starts next week, and violin is going pretty well (Actually, could you please pray for me? It turns out that I might-most-likely have wrist tendonitis :/)

But yeah, life's been going preeetty well :P

- The Last Goodbye, Billy Boyd -
*SNIFF*

- Most Girls, Hailee Steinfeld -

- The Downton Abbey Soundtrack, John Lunn -

- Party in the USA, Miley Cyrus -

(I read 2 more books last moth #randomfact)

Loved

Flight Into Spring: This was so sweet and short and gah I loved it. I re-read it two times in a row and it is now one of my all time favorite books! (not to be compared to Jane Austen or Sherlock Holmes though, an all-time short sweet book xD)

Chronicles of Downton Abbey: MORE DOWNTON KNOWLEDGE THANK YOU (I actually bought this :DDD)

The Mysterious Affair at Styles: I love mysteries! I really enjoyed my first time with Agatha Christie, but I still love Sherlock more xD

Angela's Ashes: This one was super interesting! Since I'm working on the story of an Irish immigrant, my mom told me to read this one! It was really good!!

Liked

To Kill a Mockingbird: It actually took me a little to get into, but once I did, I couldn't stop! This book is really deep and everyone should read it!

Shooting Stars: My dad gave me this as summer reading, and it preeetty cool! My favorite one was how Handel (I almost wrote Hayden *fp*) wrote the Messiah

Disliked

The Age of Innocence: ASudhifdjbanjkfxfsahdfsf *huffs* I started out liking this book but....no....did not like it

Judah's Sceptre: I wish I had a more in-between category. Because I didn't really DISLIKE it, but I didn't really LIKE it (review coming soon!)

Books I Hope To Read This Month

Heartless, Marissa Meyer; Victoria: Portrait of a Queen, Catherine Reef; Everything She Didn't Say, Jane Kirkpatrick; Wives and Daughters, Elizabeth Gaskell; Cranford, Elizabeth Gaskell; North & South, Elizabeth Gaskell; Amish Celebrations, Beth Wiseman; The Big House on Adams Street, Alberta Sparks; The Centurion's Wife, Janette Oke, Davis Bunn; Victoria, Daisy Goodwin;  A Murder is Announced, Agatha Christie; 'Tis, Frank McCourt; Teacher Man, Frank McCourt; Junia, Michael E. Giesler; Grain of Wheat, Michael E. Giesler

Still liked him and the rest of this period drama tho xDDD

I had a writing schedule for Colm *coughhadcoughcough* But it was really unrealistic so I have to make a new one :/

Also, I recreated that one story I locked in the dungeon. It's A LOT different now but it's actually GOOD NOW WHAT??

And I'm working on a short novella that is turning out pretty sweet! Once I finish, though, I will be looking for some Alpha's! So keep an eye out!

I didn't get all the posts out that I wanted to, but my last weeks got really busy, but I shall try to do better this month!

  3. 11th grade is ALREADY TERRIFYING ME.........our teachers suddenly decided, "hey, you’re responsible adults now, take these TEN POUNDS OF HOMEWORK EVERY NIGHT."

    Sorry. Had to rant. Anyways.

The Last Goodbye! <3 That song is so good! Have you listened to all the credit songs? If so, which one's your favorite?

And the I SHALL RULE THE WORLD post is still coming???? *whispers "when you rule the world can you make books cheaper?"*

Great wrap-up! I’ll be praying for you, and have a great September!

    1. Oh my goodness... Luckily for us MoDGers, orientation classes are the week before Labor day so we sorta get a half week??? It's just modg's way of easing us into school :PP

It is very amazing! (I'm listening to it right now actually xDDD). I actually haven't seen the Hobbit (and have no strong desire to), but the only other Lotr credit song I've listened to is May It Be WHICH IS ALSO AMAZING. Buuuut....I absolutely love Billy Boyd (and the music video to The Last Goodbye <33333333333 I only started tearing up when it showed scenes from Lotr) and I think I like The Last Goodbye better than May It Be BUT ONLY BY A SMIDGE.

Yeah...it's still coming...IT'S ALMOST DONE THO XDDD *whispers back, "I REALLY REALLY WISH I COULD"*

      Thank you!!!!!

      ACTUALLY

I have listened to all the Lotr soundtracks to technically I've listened to all those end songs....

THE LAST GOODBYE IS STILL MY FAV (it's still playing lol xDD)

  9. Wait, you liked Angela's Ashes!?!? You and I must have different tastes because I hated it. I couldn't finish it and cried because I hated it so much. But, you and I both like TKaM! Same, it took me awhile to get into it, but once I did I couldn't put it down! And, TMAaS is so good!
