The Shared WIP Tag {Week 4: Questions on Side Characters and World Building}

SO SO SO SORRY THAT I DIDNT GET THIS OUT YESTERDAY. Life was like, "Oh you want to post this today?? Haha

But anyways, before we continue, though, I want to apologize for not responding to comments/commenting on y'all's posts. Life has hit me with a bag of bricks and I just realized that I'm not going to finish Nano, but am strangely at peace with it :)

List your SC’s, state one of their main hobbies, and tell us how they influence your MC in the story.

......I have a lot of SC's (secondary characters).......I'll just name some of the more important ones

We have Kile's older brother: Sargas, Protector of Ilia Scriptura, Crown Prince Cipta of Ilia Scriptura (his name is Cipta), and I imagine him to look like Ashton Kutcher. One of Cipta's main hobbies is...reading.....I guess

Then we have Kile's dad: Taurus, Protector of Ilia Scriptura, King Rowan of Ilia Scriptura, and I imagine him to look like Dennis Quad. One of Rowan's main hobbies is doing math equations (gonna be super honest right now...I'm making most of these up on the spot...#soprepared)

Then we have Kile's mom: Auriga, Jewel of Ilia Scriptura, Queen Natha of Ilia Scriptura, who looks like Natalie Portman. One of her main hobbies is writing.

(and now we're moving to characters who live in Ilia Couragis)

So we gots Tamara, Jewel of Ilia Couragis, Princess Royale Zoe of Ilia Couragis, who looks like Dove Cameron. Her hobbies are riding, playing the harp, and archery (and yes, I actually did plan that :P)

Her twin in Tamaris, Jewel of Ilia Couragis, Princess Royale Zelia of Ilia Couragis, who looks like Chloe Moretz. Her hobbies are riding and playing the flute.

Then we have Eridanus, Protector of Ilia Couragis, Crown Prince Yohn of Ilia Couragis, and I imagine him to look like Alex Pettyfer. His hobby is drawing landscapes and riding.

Their mom (cause we talked about their dad last week) is Ara, Jewel of Ilia Couragis, Queen Yulia of Ilia Couragis, and she looks like Michelle Pfeiffer. Her hobby is embroidering.

I have more SC's, but.....#spoilerspeoples and then some aren't that important xD

Who is the SC that is the closest to your MC?

Um.....I would say (after stuff goes down), the person closest to Kile is Cipta.

How do your SC’s act around people they don’t know?

Cipta is a bit shy and doesn't talk much until he's comfortable.

King Rowan and Queen Natha command the room, cause, they're monarchs :P

Zoe is confident and Zelia is shy.

Yohn is somewhat withdrawn and Queen Yalia is quiet.

What conflict do they add to the story (disagreeing with the MC, perhaps)?

Cipta adds the conflict that he was supposed to be crown prince, but isn't. He also tries to help Kile, but Kile thinks that he wants to fix him and doesn't like it.

King Rowan and Queen Natha add the conflict that they don't really pay attention to Kile and just write him off as a hopeless cause.

Zoe and Zelia add some romantic conflict and some other conflict that I can't talk about because SPOILERS DEAR CHILDRENNS

Yohn adds the conflict that he thinks....shoot spoilers...

And Queen Yalia doesn't really add any conflict? I mean, at least I can't talk about it.....

Would your MC die for any of them?  What about vice versa?

Um....I think at the very end of TSOW, Kile would die for all of them, and they would for him. The beginning/middle is sorta iffy.

If you were writing books about your SCs, what might the books be like?

Oshhh......

If it was Cipta's book, it would be about him trying to help other people and coping with becoming prince royale.

If it was about King Rowan or Queen Natha, it would probs be about them running Ilia Scriptura.

If it was about Zoe it would be about.....#spoilers.....and if it was about Zelia it would be about her helping her twin do....#spoilers

If it was about Yohn, it would be about him learning to run the country and stuff that i can't talk about so hush

And Queen Yalia's book would be about watching over her family and trying to bring them together after #spoilers.

What is your favorite part about the setting?

In Ilia Scriptura, I think it's the way that the monarchy works and how the king is the person who can read the Scroll of Wisdom. I haven't written anything in Ilia Couragis yet, but I think it's going to be the sort of wildness it has.

What was the hardest part about coming up with the setting?

Errr........There was something BUT GOSH DARNIT CAN'T REMEMBER

Is there anything about the setting that produced a major change in your character throughout the story?

The Scroll of Wisdom

Did you base your setting off of any place in particular?

Not really....I sorta came up with it as it came alonggg.
